Cryomagnetics' superconducting magnets are designed to operate at 4.2°K. This is accomplished by either immersion in liquid helium or cooling by a mechanical cryocooler (liquid cryogen free). A full range of cryostats (dewars) is available to maintain the 4.2°K environment.
All cryostats utilize a vacuum space and various methods of intercepting heat to the superconducting magnet. These methods include the use of thermal radiation shields, superinsulation, liquid nitrogen jackets, and dual stage cryorefrigerators. The method of heat interception varies according to the specific cryostat design and the customer's requirements.
All cryostats are provided with a pump-out port for the vacuum space and safety overpressure devices to protect personnel and equipment in the event of vacuum space overpressure.
Cryomagnetics offers a complete line of high quality cryostats that are compatible with virtually any magnet application. Cryostats can be broken down into the following categories:
Standard Magnet Dewars
Room Temperature Bore Dewars
Cryogen-Free Systems
