Senior Engineer:
This position involves oversight and direction of a superconducting magnet engineering design and development team. Projects will include both product-oriented magnet system design, as well as technical R&D programs such as SBIR’s. Current development efforts include very high field superconducting magnets, high homogeneity magnets for applications such as ICR and NMR, liquid cryogen-free magnets, superconducting magnets for astrophysics research and others.

Qualifications:

  • MS in Physics/Engineering + 10 years experience with superconducting magnet systems, or
  • PhD Physics/Engineering + 5 years experience with superconducting magnet systems.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Experience with high homogeneity and/or very high field superconducting magnets is a significant advantage.

Magnet Design Engineer:
This position is an entry-level engineering position responsible for the detailed design and analysis of superconducting magnets and cryogenic systems. Successful applicants will be directly involved in both product-oriented design and R&D programs.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Physics/Engineering.
  • Proficiency with AutoCad.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software and superconducting magnet / cryogenic systems is plus.
