As with multi-axis systems, Cryomagnetics can manufacture the multi-axis superconducting magnet for integration within your existing bucket dewar system – or OEM applications.

Multi-axis magnets are comprised of a central solenoid (Z-axis) flanked by either one or two split pairs of magnets (X and Y-Axis). One can think of the outer diameter of the central solenoid as what would traditionally be the magnet bore. This measure dictates what field is achievable in the split pairs as it is much larger than what is found in typical magnet designs. Two axis designs offer the option to operate at maximum rated field in the Z-axis or 360 degree planer rotation of the magnetic vector at the rated field for the X-axis. Three axis designs offer the option to operate at the maximum rated field in the Z-axis or spherical rotation of the magnetic vector at the rated X and Y axis.

Standard configurations are available in 2.0″ and 2.5″ cold bores. Other bore sizes are available by custom design.
